Keepsake #45

45- Keepsake #45.

“It’s time to put my guards down and trust God will protect me.” Written April 18, 2019.

There was so much going on at that time that led me to speaking those words to God. I am grateful, He has taught me that I can put my guards down, I don’t have to be in control. He will protect me.

I am so grateful to have made Jesus Lord of my life. I am grateful for God’s Word. My life isn’t perfect, but God guides me through it all. I am moved to reflect on Psalm 23.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. Regardless of how I may feel at times, I have everything I need to live one day at a time, one moment at a time.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. In spite of what I go through, God leads me to quiet waters, giving me time to refresh my soul so it doesn’t become weary of doing good.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff,  they comfort me. As long as I am on this earth, I will walk through dark valleys. God teaches me to not fear what I will face. He will be with me. Everyday I work on trusting that his staff would comfort me. If I lose my way, he will help me get back on track. He will help me overcome my unbelief.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. The countless times my cup is overflowing humbles me.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that goodness and love is following me when times are hard. However, I am grateful for the many ways God reminds me that it does!

Praise God!
