Keepsake #18.

Today’s keepsake is short but it’s one of those things that God points out for me that hits me deep. As I went over the prayers and letters in the bin, there is one statement I said often. Starting in 1996 to the early 2000s: "whatever it takes ." It reminded me that I need to pray and ask God to do whatever it takes for me to grow spiritually.

Following are three excerpts.

1- "Thanks for Jesus and his example that I pledge to do my best to follow you every way I go: and if you notice any time that I forgot my pledge do whatever it takes to remind me again."

2- "Father, do whatever it takes for me to wake up in the morning; I do not want to get comfortable with the idea that since I'm a stay-at-home mom, I can do my quiet times anytime in the day. I want you, I need you to be in the beginnings of my days so that I could be equipped, filled, and close to you as I face the day, as I face the world." November 11, 1998.

3- "I pray my goal in life will always be to please you, and I pray that when that's not my goal, you will do whatever it takes to remind me of the commitment I made to You and myself to put you first." February 2, 2000.

Do whatever it takes, God!
