I wrote the following thoughts a couple weeks ago. I felt vulnerable not because of what I wrote but the photo that goes with it and all that it means to me and wasn’t sure it will make sense what I wrote.
There are so many emotions that flow through me every time I look at these pictures. They are a reflection of Luke 18:27 and I can honestly write a whole book and have these pictures as a cover.
The tittle will be: “Daddy Issue’s? Don’t worry God Got You!”
I decided to share because just as I was encouraged by the thought whoever understands what I wrote can be encourage too and that encourages me to share!
Personal reflexión written April 28:
My dad’s life hasn’t been easy and there has been a lot of hurt and pain inflicted on him and he inflicting on others. Regardless God still wants my dad to know he is loved.
I sent a photo to my family of my dad in the home care he now resides while I visited. Their response: “Look at that big smile, you can tell he feels loved.”
Reading that response opened my eyes to a message I believe God sent me between the lines: my dad's big smile is a product of knowing he is loved, and not just from me. God entrusted me to deliver a special “card” from all of us that says: “He loves you. You are loved.”
My dad had a difficult childhood. He had a hard time believing and feeling loved.
The truth is he is loved by my mom, my siblings and many other people. We don’t love him because he is perfect, we love him simply because he is. I get to give him a “card” every time I get to visit with him that says: “From all of us to you. You are loved” The twist is I am the “card”. So cool!!!
What card or gifts has God entrusted us to deliver that we are still holding?
